Gou Heng did not spend long overthinking this matter and unbuttoned his clothes while entering the bathroom. As Gou Heng removed his shirt, small but largely clustered lines of white were scattered all along both his arms in strange and uncomfortable patterns resembling claws digging into the skin. Those scars go from an inch above his wrist to his shoulder blades but never quite reached his collarbone, like the one who made who marks was careful not to let anything show beyond long-sleeved shirts. Although Gou Heng no longer felt anything when he saw these wounds, anyone else would have held their breath out of shock and horror seeing those old scars. How much of a grudge did one have to make a person as young as him suffer so much?
