Before Ryan could fall smashing his head, Kai was already breaking through the iron bars and catching his fainting figure while Bella was nestling my larger frame in her comforting embrace.

"How did you know tha- …. ", I began tearfully but Bella hushed me quiet as she kept her index finger on my lips and helped me sit on the couch.

"The mate link. Your emotions were all over the place", she answered and that explained a lot many questions.

"Ryan ! Ryan ! RYAN !!", Kai screamed as Ryan suddenly went feral and mad with sorrow. Hence the cage but Kai was doing a far better job of subduing the broken biological son of my dead foster mother.
