Bab 3: Training
*Whooosh*
Over the vast plains, gusts of wind accompanied by splashes of yellow lightning rushed at terrifying speeds. However, if one looked closely, it was not a gust of wind, but a man and a woman who were running.
The movements of the two were too fast to be seen by the naked eye, and caused sparks of lightning to break through air resistance.
The two people who were running at a speed beyond reason were none other than Rin and Ars.
"What's wrong, Ars? Your speed is too slow."
Like Shinobi in the Naruto series, Rin ran with both hands behind her.
"Don't be so demanding, Rin. It's only been three days since my birth, it's hard for me to keep up with your speed."
Running behind Rin, Ars ran as hard as he could not to be left behind. According to a rough estimate, the speed is around 50 meters/second or equivalent to subsonic speed.
Ignoring the complaints, Rin said indifferently: "Don't complain so much, let's hurry up, Ars."
*Whooosh*
The next moment, Rin increased her running speed to supersonic, and her figure was gone.
"Aaaa!!! Damn it!"
Gritting his teeth, Ars mustered all the strength that was in his body, and his running speed reached 383.6 mph (0.5 mach).
Even so, he didn't catch up with Rin at all.

Rin decided without asking Ars's opinion.

"This is an island in the middle of the sea, we will keep the seal here so that Demons don't bring chaos to this world. Just in case the Demons manage to break the seal, we as Idaten must eliminate them. Therefore, as a new Idaten, you must train and become stronger."
Rin pointed at a hill hundreds of meters high not far from them.
Scratching the back of his head, Ars said confusedly:
"Wait a minute, there are a lot of things I don't understand yet. Before starting the training, could you answer a few of my questions, Rin?"
"You have a point, then what are you asking?" Rin found it reasonable and agreed.
"First of all, what is Idaten?"
This was Ars' biggest doubt, Rin had repeatedly referred to himself as Idaten, which made him very curious.
"Idaten is a god." Rin answered briefly, concisely and clearly.
Ars: "😐"
"Uh, that's all?"
Ars thought there was a further explanation, but after waiting for a while, Rin didn't say anything else.
"Yeah, no more no less, we are gods." Rin said flatly as if this were common knowledge.
Seeing Rin's serious expression, Ars tapped his forehead. Through this short conversation, he knew the girl in front of him was a complete idiot.
Given the inhuman speed Rin displayed before, he couldn't identify her as a human.
"I'll change my question, are there other Idaten besides the two of us?" Ars asked.
"Yes, nowadays there are only two Idaten, me and you." Rin pointed at Ars, then herself.
"Nowadays... Does that mean there were a lot of Idaten in ancient times?" Ars pays attention to keywords.
"500 years ago, there was a Demon in this world... Demons were immune to modern weapons, and humanity was on the verge of extinction. Then, a god called Idaten appeared and defeated the Demon. Due to the large number of Demons, grandpa and the others decided to sacrifice themselves to seal all the Demons in this world."
"Our job as the remaining Idaten is to take care of if the seal is broken, you understand, Ars?"
Looking at the hill, there was longing in Rin's eyes.
"Wow... It's like hearing a fantasy story... Wait a minute, you called the old Idaten as grandpa, Rin, you've lived over 500 years?"
At first, Ars was amazed at the Idaten who were willing to sacrifice themselves to seal all the Demons and give humanity peace. He suddenly realized the implications of that story.
"To be precise, I have lived for 556 years, that isn't strange. After all, Idaten is immortal." Rin said flatly.
"Immortal... Ha ha ha..."
After knowing that fact, Ars couldn't help but laugh.
In his previous six reincarnations, he had always died young, and managed to live to be 13 years old the longest. And now, given that he didn't have a lifespan, how could he not be happy?
"You are so weird, suddenly laughing for no reason." Rin responded.
"Ah, sorry, I just got carried away. Finally, I'm released from my curse to die young."
Rin tilted her head, completely unable to understand a word of Ars's words.
"Now then, it's time to begin your training." Not thinking about complicated things, Rin said.
"Ready!" Ars replied excitedly.
And the days like in hell began.

"Already visible."
Squinting his eyes, Ars, who was running across the surface of the sea, saw his destination island.
Technically, it is impossible for humans to walk on water, unless someone is able to run at 108 km/h (30 m/s), then that person will be able to run across water.
That problem does not apply to Ars, who is an Idaten. Even though he was just born, his strength was hundreds of times stronger than that of an ordinary human, but he was still no match for Rin.
Remembering the sparring two days before, Rin had left a psychological impression on Ars.
*Whooosh*
Ars finally set foot on the island, he didn't stop and kept running up the hill where the seal was.
Staring at the ocean in front of her, Rin spoke in a tone of displeasure or disappointment.
"18 hours for one around the earth... You are very slow, Ars."
"I think that's pretty good."
"No, you're really slow, a Demon could easily catch you at your current speed."
Ars shrugged and did not argue.
He had never seen a Demon, so he didn't know if what Rin said was true or not. But, judging that she lived during the time when Demons roamed the earth 500 years ago, that statement should be true.
"Let's start the next training."
Walking to the edge of the hill, Rin jumped from hundreds of meters high.
*BAM*
The ground beneath her feet was forming a small lump, and she was completely unharmed.
"Her physique is so strong... When will I be able to reach her level..." Ars said enviously, then walked down the hill carefully.
On the first day when he saw Rin jumping like that, he thought he would be fine, considering he was also an Idaten, and jumped without hesitation. As a result, his body was crushed after falling from a height of hundreds of meters.
Idaten are immortals, this race has healing factors that can repair their bodies. Even so, Ars had to experience extreme pain.
It can indeed regenerate and not die, but that doesn't mean it can't feel pain.
Ars and Rin arrived at a large land with no vegetation growing, only rocks were here.
"Attack me with all your might." Rin said indifferently.

Ars' one jump covered the distance between the two of them, he started throwing punches at a speed invisible to the naked eye.
"Slow, too slow."
Rin parried all the punches that came her way without having to move from where she stood.
"Haaa!"
*BAM*
Rin caught the leg of Ars, who was targeting her head, then threw him like she was throwing trash.
*BOOM*
"Argh..."
Ars hit the rock so hard that it formed a spider web on the rock.
"It won't be easy."
Wiping the blood off his lips, he endured the pain in his body and darted to Rin's side.
And so his brutal training began today.
