Kai settled his business with Old Lao and Ryu before withdrawing back to his quarters.

The following day, Kai went to the guest house to find Fu Huang and Fu Wuying sipping tea while waiting in the sparsely decorated living room. Despite a few cuts and bruises, the Fu Huang seemed to be as good in good health.

When Fu Huang noticed Kai entering the room, he stood up respectfully and gave Kai a slight bow, prompting Fu Wuying to do the same.

"Sect Leader Kai, I must thank you for saving my life. My daughter has told me about how you defeated the creature. To believe that your attack actually killed such a powerful beast!" Fu Huang said with eyes full of admiration.

"I just got lucky. It was all thanks to the time you bought that we were able to defeat it."

"Haha, no need to be so modest. You have slain the infamous Khan, the immortal. It would be best if you went to the Tower to claim the reward soon", Fu Huang said with some excitement.
