The next morning, I woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed, considering the chaos we had endured the night before.

The sun streamed through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room. Isabel and Lydia were already awake, discussing something quietly over cups of coffee at the kitchen counter.

For a moment, I allowed myself to enjoy the normalcy of the scene the smell of fresh coffee, the quiet murmur of conversation, the sunlight filtering in.

But it didn't last long. The memory of last night's explosion and close call returned, pulling me back into the reality of our situation. We needed to act smarter, faster, and definitely not fall into another trap. I climbed out of bed, stretching as I made my way to join them.

Isabel noticed me first and gave a small smile. "Morning. How're you feeling?"

"Better," I admitted, grabbing a cup of coffee. "But we can't just wing it like we did last time. We need a solid plan."
