Searching for Calla: A new life in another world from nothing

After an encounter with death, Max Spaur finds himself in an alternate world. With no feasible way home, and with no one to help him, he searches for the only thing he was given when he was summoned into this other world, a name, Calla.

In a nation, in civil unrest and war, where he is illiterate and poor, he is classed as a Spy and a criminal, and in order to save himself from eternal pain, he has to start from nothing, and deliver a letter to the Noble Marionette. Only problem is, reaching her is near impossible.
