Initially, John was worried that Emma would be harmed by the intense heat of the lava. 

However, he noticed that the red glow surrounding Emma's body was gradually merging with the lava.

It seemed that Fias, the dragon, was right.

So, John simply sat cross-legged, floating in the midst of the lava, sitting opposite Fias.
