3 hours later.
Mission Failed You received no Rewards, due to interference.
"That's complete bullshit and you know it! If that was the case, then why didn't I fail the mission with the killer Wasp Dragon queen? Wouldn't that also count as "interference?" I asked, annoyed.
Listen, kid. I'm not Samantha; you better watch your tone with me. Remember, I assigned your missions, and you don't want me to embarrass you, right? Because I have the power to end your entire fucking reputation.
"... Samantha, can it do that?" I asked with hesitation.
"Yes."
"Fuck my life!" I exclaimed, unaware that Nicholas and the other hunter were outside my camp, eavesdropping.
"That poor kid must have taken a severe hit; just look at him." One of the hunters said this with a shake of his head before heading back to his post. "I'll check on him," Nicholas said as he entered the tent.
I was still arguing with this frustrating system when Nicholas entered my tent. As I turned around, I noticed a confused and worried expression on his face.
Trying to laugh it off, I nervously smiled and asked, "Oh?! Nicholas! Is everything okay?" He raised an eyebrow and replied, "I should be asking you that. Are you okay?!" It was clear that he was genuinely concerned.
"Yes, I'm fine. So, did you guys find any information about the white fang" I asked. Nicholas shook his head.
"I'm afraid not. Their leaders left the base months ago. But at least we found the missing civilian from Mistral. Finally, we can give the families some good news," he said as he sat in an empty chair.
I nodded my head and started to assess my regeneration ability, just as the system instructed. I realized I wouldn't be able to activate the Divine Dividing.
Even if I managed to get a weapon, it would be useless if I didn't know how to use it properly. I needed a teacher—someone to guide me through the basics of being a hunter.
I turned my gaze toward Nicholas as I said this.
"What?" Said Nicholas who was very confused
"No way! I already have seven other kids to look after, and I don't need another one," Nicolas said, struggling to move as I clung to his leg.
"Come on, Nicolas, please! I only want to know the basics, and then I'll be on my way. Please!" I begged.
"Don't you have parents who are worried sick about you?" Nicolas asked, slightly irritated. Losing my grip, I looked up at him with a sad, melancholic expression.
"No, I was abandoned by my mother right after she gave birth to me," I replied, still wearing a crestfallen expression.
"Fine, I'll train you for five months, but only five! Then, you will have to find someone else to teach you," said Nicholas, who put his hand over his face, already regretting his decision.
"Hell yeah!" I exclaimed with a triumphant smile on my face. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, just get your things ready; we will be leaving for Mistrals soon," said Nicholas, who had some other business to take care of.
After a few minutes had passed since Nicholas left, I decided to use another one of my UR tickets. "Okay, Samantha, I'm ready to use my second UR ticket," I said, waiting for the system to reply.
"Affirmative. And what will you be spending on? A weapon, ability, or item?"I asked the sentient being that resided in my consciousness.
"I need a new ability. I would like to spend my ticket on an ability, please," I requested of Samantha.
The sky turned pink before revealing rainbows. The birds began to chirp, and the sun took on a golden hue. Suddenly, a ring descended from the sky—the ring of the kings, the ring of Lucis.
Three red aetherial weapons appeared in front of me.
You have unlocked the Bow of the Clever, the Mutant Rakshasa Blade, and the Staff of the Corrupted Sage. The next weapon will be unlocked at level 50, called the Scythe of the Damned.
New Abilities: Armiger and Warp
Armiger/Phantom Sword LV(0/10): Summon the powers of the former kings. The user can wield the royal arms of the former king with all their abilities.
Warp/ShiftLV(0/10): To warp, one must use the magic of the kings of Lucis, either by being royalty or by the king lending his power to others like with the Kingsglaive and king. Training also required
"Welp... Another OP ability in my arsenal. Salem and the gods and goddesses of this world don't stand a fucking chance !💀 💀 💀 " I said with a wide grin on my face, already plotting my plans.
Unknown Void
Meanwhile, a giant creature clad in dragon armor opened his eyes and said, "Who dares to claim the powers of the kings for themselves? My power!" The being then opened a portal, revealing a realm beyond.
With his mystical eyes, he observed how the world had been cursed, much like the star scrouge to Eos.
"So, this world is called remnant? How interesting. Maybe I should give a visit," sometime. grinned the mysterious being.
Next day
<Inside Ray's tent we see that his features have drastically changed. For starters, his dreads were curly and now a salt and pepper color and his skin color was a carmeal color. Groaning, he begins to stir and move before opening his eyes. Walking into the tent was none other than Nicholas Arc who had a plate of eggs and beckon.>
"Wake up, kid, so you can—" Nicholas exclaimed, dropping the food on the ground. He was shocked by Ray's new look. As I opened my eyes, I noticed Nicholas staring at me with an intense expression and his jaw hanging open.
"Is there something on my face?" I asked as I looked into the mirror. I gasped at my new appearance. "Holy shit! What the hell happened to me?" I exclaimed, staring at my violet serpent-like eyes in the reflection.
"Can you tell me?" asked Nicholas as he picked up the spilled food and dish. As I looked at my appearance more closely, I realized that my body had become slightly more muscular.

Looking at the statue on the screen, I remembered the system saying that my race was "hybrid." I suppose that means I received free power.

Five days later in the country of Anima
The group, along with the rescued captives, received treatment from the local doctors of Vale, including Nicholas, Ray, and the Hunters who accompanied them. They took a boat back to Mistral, which took three day
"Kid, you gotta name," said Nicholas as we, the hunter, and the captive were heading to Mistral. I thought for a second and decided that I needed a new name. "Ardyn Izunia Lucis Caelum," I said.
"Interesting name; it sounds like the name of someone from royal blood," Nicholas remarked, his eyes focused on the road ahead. "Who knows? that's what my mother intended when she named me," I replied as we crossed the mountain of Anima. Nicholas and the other hunters thought it would be good for us to take a detour into a small town. This town was inhabited solely by Faunus, who did not seem pleased to see humans present. Approaching us was the town chief, an elderly sheep Faunus. "State your business, hunters. These towns are specifically for us Faunus. If you have nothing to trade or offer, please leave this town in peace," said the mayor, clearly wary of our presence.
Nicholas looked at his fellow hunter, who was a leopard Faunus. The Faunus approached the mayor with the best intentions but frowned when he noticed the mayor stepping back in disgust. "Don't come close to me! You lost that privilege when you aligned yourself with the very group of people who enslave, pillage, and even murder others. You are no kin of mine! but a lapdog for the humans!" snarled the elder, filled with hate and disgust.
Wanting to prevent the situation from escalating, Nicholas decided to intervene and try to extinguish the fire that the Mayor had obviously started. "Listen, my team and I just finished a rescue mission where we saved a group of women from the White Fang. You need to understand how serious this situation is," Nicholas said, his face frowning.
"Why is that my village's problem?" the elder asked with a smug grin on his face. Nicholas maintained a cold, stern expression before replying, "We know your village has been supplying the White Fang. If the higher-ups in Mistral find out that your town is aiding the enemy, there's no telling what they will do." Nicholas Arc was disgusted and tired of the nonsense.
The elder and the other Faunus gasped when hearing this terrified revelation. "But H-How did you-"
"You have to be an idiot not figure it out. That white fang has been using your town as a base for smuggling weapons, dust, and human trafficking," said Nicholas with a serious look on his face.
The elder could only stutter, struggling to find an excuse to counter Nicholas's claim, but someone else spoke up first. "And what about the innocent Faunus that the Schnee family enslaves? Are you just going to forget all the harm they've done?" This came from a cat Faunus who was practically my favorite girl.
Blake Belladonna
Sorry for the short story. Work is overwhelming me, and I have an important family event. I hope you can forgive me. Next time, I won't promise a release. I also think it would be best if the MC doesn't gain any more abilities for now; I don't want him to be too overpowered.
