Bab 49: _A Pack Of Traitors

When we finally arrived at one of the gardens in the estate... The same one where Phoebe and I had begun our sinful affair the other night, we sat down on one of the benches.

Her maid, Miranda, stood quietly behind us.

Phoebe was awkwardly silent, trying hard not to look at me.

Wanting to let her open up more, I glanced at the maid. "Dear, please be a darling and go fetch us some snacks. Probably iced tea for me."

The girl nodded, bowing her head slightly before she scurried away.

My gaze followed her as a mischievous grin curled up my lips.

'Go spread as much gossip as possible, my seed of chaos.' I thought to myself, already feeling the power of the spell I implanted in the maid coming to life again.

Just then, Phoebe sighed, hitting my shoulder lightly. "Are you crazy? What made you pick this garden out of all the gardens in this estate?"
