What it didn't know was that the new sets of poisons Gideon created were simply just that unbelievable. His God poison, besides targeting the very essence of a being at such a level, also completely rejected them and their authroity.

'Retreat!' Before the Devourer could do anything else, its comrade suddenly said to it telepathically with a stern tone.

It was confused, but its partner was still its leader was was stronger than it, so it jumped backwards without hesitation.

Immediately it did though, shame and anger immediately burned within its chest. It, a proud Devourer and tool of its Progenitor had been forced to retreat by some Demigod whelp that hadn't even been alive for more than a century!
