Gideon and Victoria had to admit, although the endurance training was arduous, it definitely had it's benefits.
*SLASH*
Gideon used the same moved that he used before whereby he would slash his daggers with the whips so fast that they would cover a large range destroying dozens of golems. But if one were to look closely, they would notice that the attack power had decreased, but the efficiency skyrocketed.
*BOOM BOOM BOOM*
Victoria's fists pounded dozens of golems into dust each second. But similar to Gideon, her attack power had reduced, yet her efficiency increased exponentially.
As the two of them constantly drained their energy reserves in the previous trainings, they began to think of ways to conserve energy by reducing the amount of effort and power in an attack and instead decided to focus on making themselves last as long as possible while increasing the efficiency of their attacks. The result?
*SHING SHING SHING*
*BANG BANG BANG*
They were achieving twice the results with half the effort and in no time, they easily surpassed the length that they lasted previously and were already reaching the 16 hour mark. And they could still go on.
Even now as the battle progressed, they were constantly reducing the amount of energy spent to the bare minimum while increasing the efficiency of their attacks.
'The actual hell?!? Is this what Sia meant by these two were monsters? How do you increase your endurance by twice the time in three days!?!' Teran thought in shock. If he had a face then it would be one of absolute shock.
His training didn't have stages and it was simply made so that when the trainee reached a point where they could last indefinitely, he would up the difficulty. Even for Gideon and Victoria, they would only have the difficulty increased during the next five days.
"Okay, that's enough." Teran managed to hide his shock and de-summoned his golems when the two finally ran out of energy. They had lasted for a whole 24 hours.
'Dang, aside from my efficiency increasing, my muscle endurance is also rising quickly.' Gideon and Victoria had similar thoughts as they massaged their aching muscles.
"You two surprisingly doubled your endurance in such a short time. Very impressive." Teran had to give his praises to the two.
"Thanks." They both said. And unlike before when they would collapse from complete exhaustion, they were actually still standing, it was just that they had no more astral energy. Yet even now they were thinking of better ways to save energy.
"While you're resting, led me give you some pointers on how to save your astral energy." Teran said causing the two to nod and sit down.
"Simply put, create weaker attacks. Instead of having a strong attack and then reducing its power to the bare minimum, you should make an attack that's inherently weak and you're able to raise its power just enough to be effective but also be saving energy. This way you can win any war of attrition." Upon saying this, Gideon and Victoria's eyes widened in understanding.
'That makes a lot of sense.'
'Why hadn't I thought of that before?' They both began to muse before slowly implementing what they had learnt just now.
At this moment, Gideon began to focus on his poison threads while Victoria focused on her fist enhancement.
For Gideon, his poison threads were mostly used to trap his opponents like what he did against Sia as they didn't actually have much attack power and were just sharper and tougher than ordinary steel threads. With this he already had something to work with as he played with the energy output on each thread.
Meanwhile, Victoria's fist enhancement was a fairly versatile skill she had as she could increase or decrease its power at will. But this time, she decided to scrap it for now and instead create claws that were very sharp, but she wasn't using her energy to increase their sharpness and was instead making them thinner while spending small amounts of energy to increase their toughness.
Seeing as they had immediately gotten to work, Teran shook his head. If he had a face, he would be smiling bitterly.
'Truly monsters those two.' Is what he thought.

Two days.
Gideon and Victoria had successfully managed to fight relentlessly for two whole days. And the craziest part of it? They could still go on.
In fact, if not for them reaching the end of the five days they had with Teran, they would still be fighting.
This was the embodiment of fighting for extended periods of time.
"Ugh, I wanna sleep." Gideon pretty much complained. Although they could still fight, the mental fatigue brought from constantly fighting for that long wasn't little.
"Stop whining and get up, Lin will be here soon." Teran said in a grumpy voice causing the two to wonder if they didn't do well enough. However, his voice was actually grumpy because he was a bit jealous.
'Though, I wonder what kind of look she'll have on her face when the shatter her expectations.' Teran's troubled mind calmed down slightly with this thought.
"Hey." Lin gave a simple greeting as she literally just appeared, her long green hair swaying in the process.
"Well you took you time. You can take these two mon- guys with you." Teran quickly changed his words causing Lin to raise a brow while the two siblings snickered inwardly.
'You think that just because you don't have a face then we wouldn't figure it out.?' Was what they thought.
"Hmm, alright then." Lin said simply as the duo were suddenly surrounded by wind bubbles, and in less than a second, they vanished.
"Phew, I need some sleep." Teran said with a tired voice before his body crumbled and turned into a few inconspicuous rocks on the floor.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gideon and Victoria gaped in awe upon reaching theirs destination. The reason? Well it's only just because of a MASSIVE tree that was easily a thousand meters tall.
The leaves that were tens of meters long were of a beautiful emerald color and the branches along with the hundreds of meter thick trunk were a nice brown color.
The tree gave off a soothing aura causing one to subconsciously relax when they were near it.
"That's the tree of life, it's a treasure unique to the elf race, it's also our benefactor in a sense." Lin said with a look of reverence before turning to the siblings.
"Are you ready?" She asked.
"Yeah." They nodded at the same time.
'What will this training entail?' They would find out soon.
