Bab 46: The Lady In Black, Part Thirty-One

Zenith knew she had to capitalize on this moment. 

The Bonecrushers were distracted. Their members were scrambling to pick up their weapons, some of them were snapping their heads from side to side, trying to find all the attackers, and some were frozen in shock from the spectacle of the magic being cast. 

This was the best chance Zenith was going to get to do a little bit of work before things really got serious. 

So, she tried to take full advantage of it. 

The first step, the first thing that came to her mind, was to launch a Necrotic Bolt at one man to the back. 

"AGH!"

It was... 

Very ineffective. 

It did very little damage but, what it did do was get the boy that it hit to panic.

Thanks to that momentary distraction, Zenith was able to rush toward the man next to him, slamming the blade of her greatsword into his neck. 

Zenith's blade didn't cut all the way through.
