With their injured comrades tended to as best they could, Lyle and the remaining Grand Knights took stock of their situation. Despite the setback, they knew they couldn't afford to stay idle for long. Basen and his group could be closing in on them at any moment, and they needed to continue strengthening themselves if they hoped to stand a chance against their formidable adversaries.

"We can't stay here," Nicholas said, his voice grim. "Basen won't give up until he's captured us or killed us, we need to keep moving."

Lyle nodded in agreement. "But we can't push ourselves too hard either."

"They need time to heal, and we can't afford to lose any of them, every single one of our men has been with you or me for quite some time, they are all highly capable and powerful, and losing even one would be bad, losing multiple would be a tragedy."
