Bab 545: A Gift

As Lyle stood in the center of the clearing, the shadowy figure began to circle around him, its form shifting and changing with each step. Lyle could feel a strange energy emanating from the figure, a power, unlike anything he had ever encountered before. It was both exhilarating and unnerving at the same time.

As the figure continued to circle around him, it began to chant in a language that Lyle did not recognize. The words were ancient and powerful, resonating deep within him. He could feel the darkness around him responding to the figure's words, swirling and coalescing into a vortex of shadow.

Suddenly, the figure stopped in front of Lyle, its eyes locking onto his. "Descendant … of Lord Drakul," it intoned, its voice reverberating through the clearing. "You … carry … the blood … of the ancients."

"What?" Lyle asked the shadowy figure who continued staring at him.
