After gathering the remaining herbs, the trio embarked on their journey back home.
Aduke assumed it would be a short walk since they were children, expecting their granny to have sent them nearby.
However, she quickly realized that her assumptions were based on her Earth-centric mindset, still ingrained with human ethics.
Still holding onto Aduke's arm, Erica tugged her forward to catch up with Shalom.
As they walked for about 20 minutes, Aduke's confusion grew as they showed no signs of reaching their destination.
Unable to contain her curiosity any longer, she voiced her concerns, "Wait, guys, I thought you lived nearby. Are you sure we're not lost?"
Shalom and Erica exchanged knowing glances, understanding that Aduke's question stemmed from her limited knowledge of advanced technology and their world's capabilities.
With a chuckle, Shalom reassured her, "No, we're not lost. We haven't even covered a quarter of the journey yet!"
