As Aduke immersed herself in the captivating and enthralling tale spun by Erica and Shalom's granny, she couldn't help but marvel at the stark and striking contrasts in how things were governed in this unfamiliar and alien world. The cruelty and harshness depicted in the story struck a disconcerting and unsettling chord within her, even when juxtaposed against the challenges and difficulties that she and her fellow Earthlings were currently facing. The magnitude and severity of the disasters that befell the protagonist, Elysia, left Aduke perplexed and contemplative.
