Rank's were determined by the total amount energy and density in one's meridians, this method was both flawed and mostly ineffective in real battles.
This method nither evaluate a persons combat experience, nor energy contained in every cell. But it was the most reliable option there was. You cannot ask an entire country to battle and find who is better of each other, it was no doable.
It takes almost 50 B ranks to take down a normal A rank and 1000 B ranks for a normal S rank.
But, what if an S ranker has a battle experience of a thousand near death battles, four elemental affinities, a body transformation at 2'nd stage which only few have achieved, and an omnipotent system.

The three colorfull moons bathed the planet with tri colour. For some odd reason Crimson being prominent today, as the colour of blood brightening the night.
Figures numbering to a thousand were surrounding a proudly standing four-storyed tall building.
Sen was waiting for all the participants of the game to gather. Within him somewhere he could sense the patriarchs soul laughing like manic. The patriarch evidently thought that he was still alive, trapped using some kind of technique and when all of his clan surrounded the faulty, he couldn't help but laugh out loud at the plight of the enemy.
Was he really not dead or was he trapped or can his enemy be defeated!
A burly man came forward from the crowd and shouted.
"Patriarch are there!!"
But what greeted him was Sen hoping down from the top of the building.
Disdain.Could be seen on the man's face.
"Kid, if you don't want to get hurt badly. Tell us where the patriarch is and where your senior accomplice is!?" The man threatened Sen hypocritically.
The commander of the forces of Umakuran and a B+ rank second only to the leader. Why would he be afraid of a kid from which he can't even feel energy from.
Sen raised an eye brow and frowned 'Is this guy impotent, can he not feel my energy …or not… everyone has the same reaction, what's the hell is going on'
As always Stella came with a free answer 'Your energy is turning similar to that of nature energy, because of your acquiring of '4' attribute genes. And Normal mortals can't detect nature energy or anything similar to that'

When a child started forming in a mother's womb the energy within the child will tend to form a weaker side of nature energy ie. water, wind, earth, lighting or fire.
The most probable case is the child having the attributes of the parents, these attributes are ingrained on a fundemental level(genetic level).
Of course, it's not like the child will not be able to use other elements. With a lot of practice and guidance this feat is achievable.
But performing an element that is different from their predetermined one will have a high energy cost and require high concentration from their part, difficult to use in real life battles where life and death are determined within seconds.
Like having to cut a cake with a knife and the other party will have already cut cake.
Some people may rarely have 2 or more Affinity, so they will naturally reach the top of the ladder. Like the current leader of Eldia.
But all of it are still degraded versions of the potent natural energy of the world.
Then what about yin and yang? answer is they are like them but in a different way.
Every human has both yin and yang energies in them. But yin is found a little more in females and yang a little more males.
Yang is the potent and strong energy found within every cells of human body that is directly proportional to strength and vitality of the human body.
Yin is the calm and easily moldable energy found more closer to the brain or more precisely closer to the eyes, And helps in techniques related to eyes.
Yang energy within the body can be increased by physical training or by using absorbing natural energy, which is definitely dangerous without proper techniques like Sen.
Unfortunately Yin energy can only be increased by practicing eye techniques or having special eyes.
Partially reason why Sen came here was to collect points by killing his foes. His goal was to obtain a special set of eyes, which belonged to his special origin inheritance that stella told him about.
But for god sake the required points were 50 million.It was no exaggeration to say that he came here for mob farming, and all other things exept for obtaining Kaguya was within his expectations.

Sen squinted his eyes and spoke arrogantly "What senior?, and your dick-less patriarch is already dead and you all will join him soon"

The place was full of laughter. A kid who can't even awaken chakra, killing an A ranker, this was the biggest joke they ever heard.

Sen like a flash came infront of the commander and slapped him. The slap was so strong that the his brain directly exploded, spilling the brain matter everywhere.
