Bab 130: It Begins

Ali had whipped up a feast for all of us, and I was quite baffled how she was able to be so productive early in the morning whereas she had cried in silence last night. She had smiled at me and put a finger over her mouth as if to prevent me from saying anything.

I returned her smile, and made some facial expressions I hope she understood as my sign of acknowledgement. Were we even at the same page with our nonverbal communication? I sure do hope so.

As I dug into our breakfast and drank the last of my juice, Suzy suddenly jumped in her seat and called Becky's attention. I didn't mind at first, thinking it might have been something only the two of them were interested in. I stood up and brought my dishes to the sink, and then lightly piled my utensils and plate.

"Lizzie," Becky called out to me.

"Yes?" I replied as I reached out for the hand soap and washed my hands.

"I think you might want to see this," she answered back.
