Bab 146: 146 Ice-Cold Wrath

Kayla's POV

"What?! Say that again?!!" Although my vision was gradually recovering, everything before me was still blurry. So, when I heard the dreadful news from Amber, I nearly rolled off the bed as I abruptly sat up.

"You just said, Harrison, what happened to Harrison?"

"Don't get too worked up, Kayla."

Amber anxiously pushed me back onto the bed, "If Harrison sees you like this, he'll only worry more about you!"

"I don't care!!" I pushed away Amber's hand, struggling as if mad, trying to leave the room immediately.

"I want to see Harrison! Let me see him!! Ah—" In my excitement, I didn't notice a small stool at my feet and tripped, falling to the floor.

"Careful! Kayla!!" Amber hurried over, reaching out to help me up. However, she didn't realize that, facing her as she crouched down in front of me, I, tormented in both body and mind, had already reached the brink of collapse.

So, I grabbed her arm, directly diving into her embrace, bursting into tears.
