“Papa and Daddy gave you an excellent explanation,” Ian said.

Sean smiled at Ian. Marie Claire brought up the cream puffs with caramel glaze, and the meal ended in the library with coffee. Fifteen minutes later, Rémy and Armand stood. They had to meet with Ferone in Little Italy at eight. It was time to go.

Sean gave Armand a hug and a kiss. Rémy’s eyes searched for Ian, hopeful. Ian ran over to Rémy and kissed him hard and fast. “You come home to me. I’ve got you now, and I’m not throwing you back.”

Armand laughed. René and André came into the room. “Alpha, we have six enforcers staying here at the house and six going with us.”

Armand nodded. “I think that’s sufficient.” Armand opened the study doors, and he and Rémy filed out of the room. 11

The meeting took place in the back room of a small Italian restaurant on Baxter Street in New York’s Little Italy. Don Ferone was at a table when they arrived.
