"....." Harold stared hard at her stunned. Just when she thought that he would understand that she was not the Evangeline he could control, he laughed.

He laughed hard as if he had seen a joke.

"Good god, Evangeline, do you think they can hit me or what?" he looked at the knights amused, "do you want another scandal that duchess was jealous when she saw her ex husband with a woman and sent her knights to beat him?" he whispered those words with mockery and exaggerated tone that she flinched. She was not planning to beat him. She only wanted to leave with the help of the knights.

"Must i remind you two, that your master's image is already in shambles and it would go worse if you touch me?" The knights went still too. They looked at their mistress for guidance.

Since it was a matter of nobles, the knights could not enter in the drama freely. Evangeline gritted her teeth and her eyes narrowed.
