Evan basked in the warmth. It felt so foreign yet so tempting. He felt good. Hot and strong, his arms were not like Harold's soft and lean one but strong and sturdy made from training hard in the grounds all his life.

"You have worked hard all your life. Despite being a higher noble, you fight wars and protect the empire from rebels and other attacks. I do not understand why?" because of my guilt! He looked away.

"Because our family had served the empire for a long time. That is my fate." she frowned as she did not understand how a man like Damien who spoke as if their happiness was all that matters did everything because he was bound by duties. 

He noticed his stare and curiosity but he had no reply that could settle her. So, it was best that she forgot about it.
