Bab 40: I'm here because I need you.

The rain started as soft droplets, but quickly turned into a heavy downpour. Xu Jingli stood by the window, watching as the storm raged outside. Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Chen Mumu faced an unexpected problem.

The towel she had was too small and far too revealing. Normally, she would just walk from the bathroom to her bedroom without a care, but with Xu Jingli in the house, that was impossible. She glanced around, hoping to find another towel, but realized the others were outside drying.

Xu Jingli, growing curious about why she was taking so long, knocked on the bathroom door. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yes! I'm okay!" Chen Mumu replied, her voice flustered. She thought quickly, then called out, "When I come out, can you please look away?"

Xu Jingli, confused, asked innocently, "Why?"

Chen Mumu sighed in frustration. "Just turn around when I walk out, okay? If I catch you peeking, I'll break your third leg!"
