Bab 49: I'll handle it

Chen Xu stormed out of the room, ignoring Rui Li's desperate calls for her to come back and discuss things calmly. The moment she stepped outside, the other artists scattered, their faces showing clear fear. They all knew better than to get in the way of Chen Xu when she was in a rage. No one wanted to be on the receiving end of her wrath. 

She marched to the elevator that led to the top floor, where Mao Liu, the head of Starwave Entertainment, had his office. Mao Liu had been appointed by her father a few years ago and had cozied up to Chen Xu to ensure his position and stay in good standing with the company. Chen Xu's father, Chen Murong, was the head of Chen Corporations, which owned Starwave, so Mao Liu knew keeping her happy was critical to his survival.
