Bab 20: Chapter Nineteen

  She had just settled on a grilled cheese sandwich when her doorbell rang and frowning at the late hour, she went to answer surprised covering her face after looking through the peephole.

  "Tasha, what are you doing here?" Ember greeted opening the door and ushering the other woman inside.

  Tasha stepped inside with a nervous smile running a hand through her hair. "We have that paper due in a few days and I was wondering if you would help me with it."

  Ember closed the door behind her before looking at her friend with a raised eyebrow, and Tasha sighed.

  "I miss Jaime," she admitted walking over and sitting down on the couch putting her bookbag next to her on the floor.

  "Would you like something to drink, Tasha ?" Ember asked softly knowing what she was going through a grim smile crossing her face.
