Jealous?

Of course, I was jealous because of the stupid matebond. But fortunately, he was an arsehole and I I despised him, so it was easy to ignore the jealousy in my heart.

“Don't flatter yourself,” I sneered.

He was about to say something but stopped when we heard Alpha Elijah’s voice coming from the stage.

“I’m sure all of you can't wait to find out about the theme of this party. Let me announce it now. The theme of this party is ‘hunting’!” Alpha Elijah said with a huge grin on his face.

Hunting? I frowned.

It wasn't a primitive society anymore, hunting was just a rich man's game and I had no interest in it.

I thought of ways to not be involved in this ‘hunting’ activity, but Alpha Elijah’s next words shocked me.

“We’ll be hunting for…” he deliberately paused and smiled mysteriously before completing his sentence. “She-wolves!”

Everyone present, other than me, was very excited.
