"Yes, Your Majesty, let's leave this place immediately. If we wait, it might be too late," the nobles and ministers urged, their voices trembling with fear.
King William George III's face contorted in a mix of anger and humiliation. As a king, he had never imagined a day when he would be forced to flee from his own palace. It was a stark contrast to the image he had held of himself as a powerful monarch, and the feeling of powerlessness gnawed at him.
Desperation settled in when he turned to his strongest general, Ellen, for a glimmer of hope. "Ellen, can you confront this intruder?"
But Ellen's reply was equally grim. "I'm afraid not, Your Majesty. If it comes to a fight, I doubt I could withstand more than three of his moves."
It was a dark reality that none of them could deny. Their only choice was to escape and regroup, hoping for a chance to reclaim their kingdom.
"Everyone, follow me out of the palace," the king announced, his voice laden with helplessness.
Just as their escape seemed imminent, a sudden and thunderous presence materialized before them. Everyone could feel the overwhelming force, and they couldn't help but cower in its presence.
Chen Fan, the enigmatic intruder, stood in silence. The ambient tension was palpable as his body crackled with a destructive energy, casting an eerie glow.
Defying their instinct to flee, King William George III, shaken but trying to maintain some semblance of authority, questioned the intruder, "Who are you? Why are you slaughtering my army?"
The intruder's tone was dispassionate, devoid of mercy. "There's no need for reasons in the jungle; henceforth, this island is mine."
Chen Fan's words hung heavy in the air. Then, with a nonchalant gesture, he sent a thick bolt of blue lightning surging toward the king.
Ellen, their stalwart defender, leaped to intercept the lightning with his spear. His valiant effort pushed the energy away, but the force was too great for him to bear.
As the lightning dissipated, Chen Fan vanished, his speed so incredible that it left them in awe. Two seconds later, Ellen's expression shifted from determination to terror, for Chen Fan had already closed the distance. A thunder-infused punch landed on Ellen's forehead, and in an instant, the once-powerful general lay headless.
The gruesome display sent a wave of fear through the onlookers, and they retreated, abandoning any notion of stopping Chen Fan.
Addressing the trembling king, Chen Fan gave him a chilling ultimatum: "Surrender to me or meet your demise."
The nobles and ministers, overwhelmed by fear and oppression, knelt in unison, their voices quivering. "We'll serve you, we'll serve you as our king!"
Chen Fan, now the undisputed ruler of the island, turned his gaze to the future, resolved to expand his dominion across the entire Empty Island.
