Tianshi Xue was lying awake on the bed. She was being alone with her thoughts as the hours went by. A few times she fell asleep in the quiet and staring at the white ceiling, but when she woke up, she went back to her reflections. She cried once more about her sister. She was dying to get some news about her but who would she ask now? Prince Qui was gone.

They had never spent a lot of time in the bedroom aside from sleeping, but it felt a hundred times bigger with the knowledge that he would not be there by tonight.

She clutched her chest. What was she supposed to do if some intruder would come here? She had to get herself ready. Would she be allowed to have a weapon in her room? Even if she did not know how to use it, it would bring her a sense of comfort.
