Bab 50: Hyderabad University
[Outskirts of Hyderabad]
" Covering an area of 6,000 acres, Hyderabad university is one of the largest universities in the world. Home to 20,000 students from all fields of life, it is one of the leading universities in the field of magic theory, led by the famous scientist, Asha Chandrasekhar," came the voice of a young boy, standing in front of the huge double gates that were the entrance to the university; reading from a phone in his hand.
"They really went all out in making this university, didn't they," he continued, as he admired the carvings on the gate. "Must have cost them tons of money."
"I feel like a madman, having a conversation with myself. /Sigh/ Part of it is because you - " he said, looking behind him, "don't speak at all. I really wished you would at least react a bit when we teleport, but no, it's like you're just a stone."
Meanwhile, the one he was talking to, a young girl, just stared straight ahead, as if captivated by the carvings on the marble door.
"Anyways, it's time we go inside. Since I don't know where her office is, I guess I'll just have to ask around first," he said, as he walked forward and entered the university.
And yet, before he could properly step inside,
"STOP! You there, young boy, who are you? And why are you coming inside?" asked a voice.
Looking around, Alaukik saw a middle aged man dressed in a security uniform, who was quickly making his way towards him. Sighing to himself once again, Alaukik prepared mentally to deal with the guard.
"I'm here to meet someone, mister. Wouldn't you let me inside?" Alaukik replied, trying to bring out his inner child as much as he could.
"Meet someone? Who? And where are your parents? Do you know the number of the person you're going to meet? If so, tell me and I'll call them to come pick you up," the guard replied, now standing right in front of Alaukik.
"I'm going to meet my aunty, security uncle. But I don't remember her number or her office. Could you help me out pwease?" Alaukik replied.
"Is that so? Very well, tell me the name of your aunty, and I'll call the main office to inform them," the security said, although he had doubts in his mind.
"Thank you uncle," replied Alaukik, making sure to flash a big smile at the guard. "My aunt's name is Asha Chandrasekhar uncle, I'm sure you know of her."
"Very well, wait for me to call the main offic- wait a second. You said Asha Chandrasekhar? Did you say it incorrectly, child?" the guard asked, trying to maintain a straight expression on his face.
"No uncle. Her name is Asha Chandrasekhar."
"I see, I see. GET OUT YOU BRAT!," he suddenly screamed, pointing towards the gate, rage clear on his face. " I was already suspicious of you, entering here with dirty clothes and without any parents. Seeing your sister with you, I thought you might be an actual child of the faculty here, but are you trying to make fun of me? Everyone in this university knows that Ms.Asha has no children or siblings, so where the hell did you come from huh? Calling yourself her nephew. You think I'm a fool? Get out of here now, before I send you out myself," he finished, giving a loud /hmph/ before turning around and walking back to his chambers.
Hearing this, Alaukik felt rage boil inside of him, but decided to remain calm, and started thinking quickly of how to convince the guard.
'I don't really need his permission to go inside, but it would indeed be best if he could tell me where her office is. He could let her know I'm here to see her, it would save so much time. Gah, let's try one more time, if this doesn't work, then I'll just teleport inside and find a random student.'
However, before he could try convincing the guard once again, he felt movement from behind him, and suddenly, Divya went up behind the guard and lightly touched his arm. As if receiving an electric shock, the guard abruptly arched his back and stood still. A moment later, Divya took back her hand, and stood behind Alaukik once again. The guard on the other hand, turned around with a big smile on his face,
"Ah, little Alaukik, fancy seeing you here! You wanted to meet Ms.Asha right? Give me one second, and I'll inform the office you're here. Her room is 001, Academic Block 1. There's a map up ahead if you don't know where AB1 is," he said, before calmly walking away.
Meanwhile, Alaukik looked like he had just swallowed a bitter pill. With an incredulous expression, Alaukik turned around to face Divya and exclaimed,
"What the hell?! Are you conscious of your surroundings now? Why didn't you let me know? And how did you just do that?! I thought you can only influence a consciousness? But just now, you didn't just influence it did you…"
However, even after hearing all of this, Divya didn't react at all. The only difference one would notice was that her eyes were now sparkling with light, a big change from her previously lifeless eyes.
However, Alaukik didn't notice this change, and so, seeing that she still didn't answer his questions, Alaukik decided to just move on and find Asha, hoping she would have a solution. While he knew that going to Lalita might be a faster option, the risks of going to Lalita for help were too much. With no control over her, Alaukik had no way to prevent her from fully controlling Divya, which would end up very badly.
Teleporting a bit ahead to where the map of the Uni was, Alaukik searched for AB1 on the map, and found out that it was quite close to the gates; just 5 km away. Teleporting there, Alaukik and Divya now stood in front of a massive building. Standing 10 stories tall, and with a width of easily 100 metres, it was a huge building. However, before he could admire the building a bit more,
"Did you see that? That boy suddenly appeared out of nowhere! And is that - is that blood? He's covered in blood!"
"Look! That boy just popped in front of the building! And behind him, is that his sister? Look at her! She looks so malnourished, poor girl!"
"What's that disgusting smell? It smells like rusted iron.."
And while some students and faculty started criticising and talking about him, many more of them started taking out their phones and snapping pictures of him, posting it on their social media. Realising what was happening, Alaukik waved his hand around Divya and himself and suddenly, both of them vanished from the sight of the masses.
"What the f*ck? Did you see what I just saw? That boy just vanished again!"
"I did, I did! What kind of magic is that? Is that some advanced invisibility magic? And the girl too! Where did she go?"
"No, it isn't. Look," said one boy, pointing to where the duo was standing, "If it was invisibility magic, then he would bump into someone while making his way out of this encirclement."
"But then what kind of magic is it?"
Alaukik, on the other hand, had already walked into the academic block, lamenting about how he had forgotten he never changed after the massacre.
"I should've changed into better clothes," hitting his forehead, he continued, "Shouldn't it have been an obvious thing? I stole a phone for Chaos's sake, how did I forget to grab a pair of clothes too?"
Shaking his head, Alaukik decided to forget his blunder, and just continue moving forward. Looking around the vestibule of the block, Alaukik tried to figure out where room 001 would be.
'001 … how ironic,' he thought, letting out a chuckle.
As his eyes wandered to the right, he saw a sign that said {001 - 100}, with an arrow pointing to the right corridor underneath it. And so, he turned right and started to walk along the corridor, expecting to see 001 as the very first room. And yet, as he stood before the first room, the sign said {100}. Sighing, Alaukik decided to just teleport ahead instead of walking all the way. Reaching out behind him, Alaukik tried to hold Divya's hand again: only to realise that there was nobody behind him. Swiftly turning around, Alaukik could only stare in shock as he realised that Divya had somehow vanished from behind him!
"But how?! My domain is still spread all over this place! How did I not notice her leaving?!"

I'll be adding to this chapter tomorrow, so be on the lookout! I know that Alaukik's acting in the beginning was cringe, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. All I do is write down what I receive from them. So if you want to blame someone, don't blame me.
