Bab 3: Chapter 003-Xia Qingyue

Xiao Lie became happy hearing that Xiao che's profound veins can be cured. Though it will take a lot of time, it doesn't matter as long as he can be cured. After he starts cultivation, as long as he works hard, he will be able to enjoy a long span of life unlike now.

"Thank you, young master. I and xiao che will always remember your kindness," Xiao Lie's eyes became a little moist while saying that.

Ling yun smiled at his words and thought,

*I truly hope that you and specially your grandson remembers my kindness. Otherwise, both you and your families future will not end well.*

Ling yun then asked him to put forth his second condition.

"If it isn't too much I want you to take both my daughter and grandson as your subordinate."

Xiao yunhai cursed Xiao Lie in his mind since he can't openly show his hostility.

*Damn it! Why does a cripple like xiao che and that little bitch is getting all the good things! Why can't this bastard Lie put my son's name there as well!? After all, my son is much more talented than those two wastes.*

Xiao yunhai really wants to fight with Xiao lie right now. But he knows the situation he is in. One wrong move and he will disappear from the face of this planet.

*Hmph! What if my son doesn't manage to enter Heavenly sword villa. With his talent, he still has a chance to enter Xiao sect*

While Xiao yunhai was calming himself down with these thoughts, Ling yun was slightly surprised at Xiao lie's decisions. He never thought that he will request his daughter to become his subordinate as well.

He could've asked her to become a Heavenly sword villa disciple, instead he asked him to make her his subordinate. Though she will get more resources than normal disciple, she will basically become his personal maid and she will have to comply with any of his request.

*Well, who am I to decline when Xiao Lie is giving his daughter to me willingly?*

Ling yun didn't think much and decided to accept both of Xiao Lie's condition.

"Then I hope that you will announce about the marriage contract between xiao che and xia qingyue being broken, by tomorrow."

"You can rest assured, young master. I will announce to the public about that as soon as possible."

"I will be departing day after tomorrow. Make sure to get your grandson and daughter ready before that."

"I will, young master."

After hearing his confirmation, Ling yun didn't stay in xiao clan any longer. He then proceeded toward xia clan with xia hongyi. He has something to talk about with xia qingyue.

He doesn't want to make it seem like he wants to marry her only because he is after her talent or beauty. He wants to show his care for her so that she wouldn't turn against him after she awakens the heart of snow glazed glass.

Ling yun is now in the courtyard of Xia qingyue. He already asked Xia hongyi and Ling wan to leave them alone since he wants to talk to her alone.

Ling yun looked at Xia qingyue and couldn't help but smile seeing how cute she is. He looked into her cold eyes and said, "Though I already confirmed with your father, I want to ask you, do you agree with my marriage proposal? You can be honest, I won't force you."

Xia qingyue didn't show any emotion in her eyes, she looked directly into his eyes and said in a cold yet sweet voice, "As long as you or rather your sect can provide enough resources to improve my cultivation, I have no problem with the marriage."

Ling yun internally sighed at this reply.

*I should have expected this kind of reply. Though it seems she didn't become totally emotionless yet, she just became a little cold feeling the pain after her mother's departure. As long as I can make her feel that she can depend on me, she will eventually open up to me.*

With that in mind, he decided to tease her a little before dropping the bombshell about her mother.

"So does that mean you will become a prostitute in exchange for strength if someone asked you to!?" He asked in a dramatic tone of voice to make her fluster and it worked.

She replied in a hurry and higher tone than before, "Of course not!"

"But your reply before seems to be suggesting that you would do just that."

Hearing this kind of insult, her breathing started to become heavy and barely managed to control herself from attacking him. It took her a minute or so to calm her mind down.

Ling yun mentally clapped seeing her for composing herself again in a matter of minute. Xia qingyue now looked at him more coldly than before and said, "I am not that kind of women. Yes, It is true that I agreed to marry you because I can get better resources that way. But that is not the only reason."

"Don't take me for a fool just because I am younger than you, I am sure that you would have suppressed my family if we rejected your marriage proposal. I love my family and don't want their lives to be in danger because of me."

"Moreover, I have heard that you have talent in cultivation. And from my observation, you don't seem like an overly arrogant guy either. If you were anywhere like those young masters that like to boost about themselves even though they have little to no real talent, me nor my father would have ever agreed to the marriage even though it might have been doom for all of us."

Ling yun became more and more shocked hearing her talking. He thought,

*She is really intelligent, it seems. Though she has obsession over power, it didn't cloud her judgment at all. Now, I truly look forward to see how much her intelligent increases after awakening heart of snow glazed glass.*

Ling yun finally showed a genuine smile towards her and said, "I am sorry for my early words. I was just teasing you to see your reaction. In exchange for your forgiveness, I can help you in search for your mother."

Hearing about her mother, she became a little sad and replied, "As long as you help me find my mother, I will forgive you for wrongly accusing me."

"Don't worry, I will try my best."

They then talked about several things for hours. First, they talked about the clues her mother left behind. Ling yun didn't diverge much information except that he might know the location of god realm and how to get there.

Then they moved on to another topics like what are their ambitions, likes and dislikes . During their talks, xia qingyue opened up a little to him. This went on for hours until Ling yun finally left.

[With Xia Qingyue]

Xia qingyue looked at the back of the man who is going to be her husband and let out a barely noticeable smile.

*It feels nice when someone shares your burden.*

At first she didn't have any good will towards him. And after hearing him accusing her of some disgusting things, it went down to negative. But after a good talk with him for hours, she now has some favourable impression of him.

When he talked with him, she got shocked several times because of his large amount of knowledge. He not only solved many cultivation problems she was facing but also managed to give her a clue about how to get to her mother.

*Now I really look forward to live with him. Though I might never be able to love him as a wife, I am happy that he is going to be my husband.*

Though that thought didn't linger for much time in her mind before her previous cold expression returned.
