As soon as the word 'Apostle of Alexis' left Ning's mouth, Perry's eyes shot up in horror, and looked at Ning.
He finally recognized him. Yes, that was indeed the apostle.
"But how?" he asked. "I killed you."
"Oh?" Ning asked. "When?"
"3 years ago, back in—"
"Did you make sure I was dead at the time?" Ning asked.
The old man froze. No, he had not made sure. He couldn't even if he wanted to. After all, Ning had disappeared to who knew where and he couldn't follow him.
"You did not die? But I used the strongest poison," Perry said with a terrified look.
"You should know the most basic rule of killing people," Ning said. "If you don't see a dead body, assume they are alive."
"Unless of course they are destroyed into a million small chunks then you can assume they are dead."
"You…!" the old man's eyes changed to anger. Ning could see the air undulate around him as the old man prepared power throughout his whole body.
