Bab 63: Abyssal Concord

The colossal form of the Abyssal Serpent lay still, its iridescent scales dulled in death. Daniel and Mira hovered nearby, their breaths uneven, the weight of their battle etched into their weary forms. The oppressive currents of the Abyss, though still present, felt muted now, as if the death of the serpent had lessened their ferocity.

"We can't stay here," Mira said, glancing at the serpent's lifeless eyes. "The blood will attract other predators."

Daniel nodded, though his gaze lingered on the fallen guardian. Even in death, the serpent was a fearsome sight, its sheer size a testament to the power it wielded. "Let's move."

They began their ascent toward the glowing core of the Nexus. The path ahead shimmered with an eerie light, the currents smoothing as if guiding them forward. But the closer they came to the heart of the Nexus, the stronger the shard in Daniel's fin pulsed, its whispers louder and more insistent.
