Bab 142: Tophet

AMYYL'S POV:-

'Where am I?' I wonder as I look around the place and find myself in the middle of a market. There were ...no, that's not...they are people, but...it's as if they are all dead on their emotions. They look tired and...exhausted...it's as if they have lost their will to live. I observe them for a few moments before rechecking the surrounding area.

I was in the middle of the street at the junction of two roads crossing perpendicularly to each other. The road consisted of white marble and stretched as far as I could see. There was a circle below my feet, probably the entry point to this place. Observing the white houses...or are they even houses? They don't have walls or windows but have a thin line dividing each 'house' by the other. Their tops are covered by strange green coloured leafs that stretch like the houses.
