Ashley's POV

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I walked away from the Lycan King's mansion. With every step, I couldn't help but glance back at the imposing gates, filled with regret for ever leaving in the first place.

I had to leave. I was just so tired of all the drama, fighting, and hate. Plus, I got poisoned and almost died.

Every minute in that house was dreadful. It was supposed to be my haven, but instead, I couldn't stop comparing it with the time I spent with Ryder.

The hardest part about leaving was seeing Dante's eyes fill with tears he had been holding back.

"Where are you going, young wolf?" Cole parked his car in front of me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

It seemed like the brothers enjoyed giving nicknames. I wasn't in the mood to talk or anything, so I ignored him and continued walking.

"Hey, Ashley, where are you going?" Cole kept following me with his car.
