The towering mounds of bones and corpses formed tall towers by the sides, and a sea of bones spread a gruesome ocean at the edges.
They litered forward, even from the point of her feet, like a yellow brick road. Gracing her steps, welcoming her.
The smell of rotten flesh and corpses infringed on her nose, making her stomach twist and causing her expression to contort ungracefully.
She sucked in a stifled breath as her instincts raged at her to run.
And as slowly as Erin withdrew her gaze, converging it towards a specific direction, she involuntarily took a step back.
Right there.
Surrounded by a morbid sea of rotten corpses and bones, and hidden away in their shadows, 'something' gazed at its visitors.
And at the same time, she felt a slight mood change around Huey.
