Bab 67: Only sometimes

Mihael didn't spend the night at Rose's place.

He had dinner, bade her goodbye, and headed back to his place.

"Mi? You're back?" Mina opened the front doors.

It was midnight but his mother happened to be taking a walk.

"Yes. Everything okay?" He stood before her, staring at that large stomach.

"Yeah. It kicked…" She chuckled.

"Can I?"

"Yes- of course!"

She took a seat on a chair and Mihael carefully put his ear on her stomach-

He could hear the baby-

Moving-

Alive.

A faint smile. "I suppose I'll be an elder brother."

"Yeah…." A chuckle. She cleared her throat. "So, what happened there?"

"Rose proposed and her parents wanted me to take care of her. Something like that."

"And your answer?"

"Not interested."
