After laughing, Lie Fan replied to Guo Jia's words that all of the things he said were true, and he was proud of it because Cao Cao was also the same as him, so Guo Jia's words sounded like an insult but actually a compliment and praise to him, that's why Xun You and Man Chong doesn't react because they saw through Guo Jia's insinuated words just like Lie Fan.

Lie Fan nods his head and allows Guo Jia to leave, asking Gup Jia to give his regards to both Cao Cao and Liu Bei as time is beginning to run out for them if they don't take over Beihai in the fastest and smartest way possible.
Guo Jia leaves the tent after receiving permission from Lie Fan, and when he reaches the entrance of the tent he feels that one of the presence who should follow him isn't behind.
He turned his head and saw Xu Chu making intense eye contact with Lie Fan, looks like the simple headed general felt the prowess Lie Fan had which ignited his will to have a duel with Lie Fan.
Lie Fan of course knew the meaning behind Xu Chu's eyes since becoming a Lord Lie Fan's will was slowly been tempered, and some of his personality from his previous world was slowly changed and integrated with this world, and the brasshness of youth has been tempered.

After Guo Jia and his party leave Lie Fan's encampment, they head back toward Cao Cao and Liu Bei's combined encampment where Guo Jia goes toward the command tent at the fastest speed.
Arriving at the command tent, Guo Jia entered the tent and was welcomed by the sight of Cao Cao and Liu Bei waiting for him alongside Xi Zhicai and Ju Shou, there were also some of Cao Cao's highest ranking generals and Liu Bei's highest ranking generals.
Cao Cao and Liu Bei who saw Guo Jia immediately told Guo Jia to tell them what he found out, and Guo Jia immediately informed everyone in the tent what he had found out.
Some time passed by and after Guo Jia finished reporting what he had found out, everyone was surprised by what Guo Jia had told them, Cao Cao and Liu Bei felt that the amount of time they had from very long to just very short in taking down Beihai.
Xi Zhicai and Ju Shou's brains began to go at the fastest thinking speed they could to formulate a strategy or a plan for them to take down Beihai, but also defend against Lie Fan's army in case they reached the deadline.
It's not that they feared Lie Fan, but Lie Fan's attack on them could have pushed back Cao Cao and Liu Bei's progress in taking over Qing Province from Lu Bu's hand several times.
The atmosphere of the command tent changed drastically, some of Cao Cao and Liu Bei's generals felt that Lie Fan had stepped way out of line and needed to be taught a lesson.
While others feel that Lie Fan has the fist to back up the words he has said, Cao Cao and Liu Bei see the restlessness in the command tent and begin to take charge of the situation and lead a meeting for everyone to discuss the best plan to take down Beihai.
While Cao Cao and Liu Bei's side are discussing the best way possible to take down Beihai and Lie Fan's side is acting as a fisherman waiting to reap the benefits, Lu Bu's side, is having a feast to raise the morale of Lu Bu's men.
The feast was going well for Lu Bu's army, food and drinks were served lavishly for the first time in a while and this helped them stay diverted from the bad news and rumors they received previously.
Everything was going well until suddenly one of Lu Bu's men felt his stomach churning badly after eating a bun, and began to run toward the bathroom causing everyone who saw this to laugh out loud, but soon one after the other same thing happened across Lu Bu's army causing a commotion.
Lu Bu, Chen Gong, and the others who received the news immediately left the room where Lu Bu was staying as they had their feast there, and seeing the bad conditions happening, Lu Bu had the military doctors go and check what caused this to happen.
Unbeknownst to them, in the darkness of the night at the rooftop of one of the civilian houses far from the barracks location, a group of people dressed in black was watching everything unfolded.
They were the Orioles that caused all of this to happen, they were ordered by Jia Xu to put some kind of laxative medicine in Lu Bu's army supplies to weaken Lu Bu's army.
This order was unknown to Lie Fan and was purely Jia Xu's own initiative as he received reports about the situation happening at Beihai.
Lu Bu's military doctors found the cause was some sort of medicine was put inside the ingredients to make the bun, which caused many of Lu Bu's men to have excessive diarrhea.
Lu Bu ordered this to be cured as fast as possible because tomorrow and the day after tomorrow would be a decisive battle for Beihai, and if his army wasn't in 100% condition and he also wasn't 100%, the battle tomorrow would be going very badly for them.
So the night passed by with Cao Cao-Liu Bei's side and Lu Bu's side all under chaos and duress, while Lie Fan's side was resting easily into the next day in the morning they woke up full of energy.
Lie Fan and his retainers go to the front of Lie Fan's Encampment to see the battle that will proceed today between Cao Cao and Liu Bei against Lu Bu for Beihai, he even prepared some snacks and drinks for them to enjoy like he was going to watch an opera.
When he was eating the snacks, the drum of war from Cao Cao and Liu Bei's side sounded, and hundreds of thousands of men charged toward Beihai but this time they truly encircled Beihai, leaving only the Eastern Gate wide open.
From this, it can be seen that Cao Cao and Liu Bei changed their tactic, from trying to take Lu Bu prisoner and execute him, to forcing Lu Bu to abandon Beihai just like the many towns Lu Bu had abandoned previously.
Lie Fan was watching the ongoing battle when he noticed that Lu Bu's men weren't as spirited and full of fighting power as the one he had faced and seen, causing him to be confused and it wasn't only Lie Fan who noticed this, Cao Cao and Liu Bei also notice this soon followed by their retainers, not caring as to why it was like this the two other ordered for the attack to be intensified as It works on their favor.
