(For those that forgot the Matchup Plan)
Iron Man Mark XL "Shotgun" vs Barricade could be a fair matchup, as The Shotgun armor's heavy weapons and enhanced speed make it a good match for Barricade's ability to transform into a police car and chase down opponents.
However, I think the "Heartbreaker" would do just alright.
Iron Man Mark XXXV "Red Snapper" against Bonecrusher would be an interesting match as well as The Red Snapper armor's enhanced strength and durability make it a good opponent against Bonecrusher's powerful attacks and ability to transform into a bulldozer.
The armor may need to be equipped with specialized countermeasures against Bonecrusher's seismic attacks however, which sounds like it would be a total pain to come up with.
As for the Autobots' side,
I already have taken care of Bumblebee, so that leaves the rest.
The Mark XVII "Heartbreaker" would also similarly be a good matchup against Optimus Prime: it has powerful repulsor blasts and good durability.
It can use its repulsor blasts to quickly take care of Optimus if it ever came down to it.
Jazz can be easily taken care of with just the Mark XLII.
Now, Iron Man Mark XL against Ratchet would be good.
The Mark XL "Shotgun" armor would be a good match against Ratchet due to its heavy-duty armor plating and powerful repulsor blasts.
However, Ratchet's advanced medical systems and combat experience would still make him a formidable opponent.
And finally, Ironhide, the best matchup would be The Iron Man Mark XXXV "Red Snapper" Armor.
Within the bunker, silence remained as a naked James lay upon the floor, completely exhausted after the process of transformation.
His body was now much more muscular, almost at the level of Captain America, yet he still maintained a somewhat slender physique.
His jaw looked much more defined. The gates of the bunker opened, allowing James's car to come through, containing food and newer clothes for when James awakened.
The four Mark armors, namely the Mark XL "Shotgun," Mark XXXV "Red Snapper," the Heartbreaker, and of course the Mark XII, were all being edited to fit James's enhanced body.
The armor colors remained the original colors without any changes made by James. The only one that was changed, of course, was the Mark XII, which was painted black with a purple-colored Arc Reactor and eyes.
There were Brawl, Bonecrusher, Barricade, Starscream, and finally, Megatron.
Blackout was there, but it is dead now.
On the floor, James flinched slightly as his eyes flickered open, and a small groan escaped his mouth.
He put his hands down on the floor and lifted his body up from the ground.
His eyes stared at the gray ground in a blur for a few seconds as he awakened.
After a moment, his eyes cleared up as he lifted his head away from the ground. He saw his car in front of him with the rest of the bunker in the background.
He stood up slightly, rubbing his eyes. "Jarvis, how long was I out for?"
"Sir, three hours."
"Hmm, what is the location of Sam and Mikaela?"
"Sir, they are currently being driven to the Hoover Dam, where Megatron is kept, along with Bumblebee, who is also en route to the location with a different convoy."
James, who still felt a little groggy, instantly cleared up.
"Jarvis, inform the Transformers to get to the Hoover Dam and stay about a mile away from it, with easy road access."
"Yes, sir," Jarvis responded. James looked down at his newly muscular body, a smile of satisfaction appearing on his face. "Jarvis, how is my body?"
"Sir, after you fell asleep, I performed some tests on your body. Initially, I tried to poke a normal needle into your body, but the needle was weak and snapped right away when I put pressure on it. Then I tried to increase the sharpness and durability of the needle until finally, your skin was pierced by a needle made from the same material as your armors."
James's eyes widened in surprise as he spoke with broken sentences. "That is... really surprising," he said.
"But let's test out the awareness boost. I want to see how good the effects were." James shut his eyes and first created an imaginary web, trying to spread it out from his mind to his surroundings.
To his excitement, he actually felt that the web didn't feel imaginary or fake; it felt real.
He continued spreading the web, expanding its range until he seemed to have covered his car and the pods. He couldn't see it, but it felt familiar due to the shape.
"Jarvis, move an arm," James said, hoping to sense movement.
Jarvis complied but didn't inform James or make any noise as the arm above the car moved toward James with slight force and speed.
James's arm instantly moved as he pointed his extended finger to the place where the arm was.
"That is it!" he shouted.
"Yes, sir. The arm I just moved was located exactly there," Jarvis said with a slight hint of joy.
A wide smile appeared on James's face as he slowly opened his eyes while maintaining the web.
He felt like he had a second
eye at the back of his head. It was as if he knew where everything was within a 360-degree range.
Excitement bubbled inside James as he jumped for joy internally at having accomplished such a thing. However, he didn't let it show and quickly calmed himself down, pondering how strong he had become.
But he decided to put his strength to the test directly on the battlefield. While he might have some initial difficulties controlling his newfound power, James believed he could refine it through battle.
Turning his attention to the four pods that contained the armors, James spoke confidently, "Jarvis, I want you to place all the armors around Hoover Dam. They should lie in wait for when the Decepticons appear, once Frenzy sends out the message to them."
"Jarvis, I also want you to monitor any communication lines being used to send messages. I want to get the live location of the Decepticons."
"Yes, sir. The Transformers are already on the move to a good position near the dam," Jarvis replied.
