Fred continued his assault on King Finn, but King Finn was recovering fast and getting stronger as the battle ensued. King Finn then used two of his arms to conjure a spell while he was engaging Fred with his other two arms.
"I see you have gotten faster but that's not enough," Fred said as he appeared behind King Finn and threw another kick at him causing him to fly further away than last time. With a wave of his hand, a golden circle hovered over King Finn who had yet to get up which caused his body to shrink even further into the ground.
"Now where…" Fred wanted to complete his statement but began dodging multiple dark red beams that continued firing in every position he was in.
"I almost forgot about you." Fred said appeared before the Mage King in an instant and attempted to grab his head but would only grab air.
"What? This isn't an illusion right?" Fred asked himself as a divine aura escaped his body and seeped into the matter of space but warped itself around the Mage King's body.
"You can't touch me. I am in the void but present here at the same time, which is still within the laws of the challenge." The Mage King answered as his yellow robes glowed golden and hundreds of magic circles hovered around him. Golden lights glowed under Fred's body as well covering his naked body.
"Haha, It's over… You might overpower most in a physical battle but once you escape or leave the perimeters of where the challenge is being held it counts as disqualification which will result in the forfeiting of your soul or even worse… complete destruction of your body and soul, eliminating your chances of reincarnation." The Mage King smiled wickedly as the space around Fred cracked and created a pulling force to send him to the void.
"But how? You said it yourself, you are in the void but also present here. How does that even work?" Fred asked as a strange pulling force acted on his very soul.
"There is no point in answering someone who doesn't walk the path of magical arts." The Mage King said as he closed his eyes in contempt and tried to hide the heavy drawbacks he was suffering at the moment.
"What is this?" Fred asked as he dug his hands into the ground and divined the ground to be stable enough to hold him properly. But his body was not the one being pulled but his soul. The pulling force began to affect the battleground and caused dark lightning sparks and black spots that began to erase matter around it permanently.
A tablet then appeared in the air with a dark reddish-golden hue.
"Mage King, you are affecting the beauty of hell, if this continues, even if you succeed, a price would be required to repair the beauty of hell." The tablet's voice sounded as if several people were talking in a deep male voice. The environment suddenly got dark but not too dark and the only light allowed in the area was the hue coming from the tablet which caused everyone outside the battleground to kneel.
Draco upon seeing the tablet would fall from the sky and turn into a humanoid dragon with grey and silver fitting robes that had dragon designs on it. Draco raised his head and tried to stand along with The Human King except for Sonyia and Malom who wore angry faces.
Draco and the others were enemies but in the presence of the tablet, they were temporary allies since anyone like them in hell had neutral enemies.
That tablet had power and authority above hell wardens and was only a step below 'candidates' and the ruler of hell. The tablet could also tap into the abyss which made its power nigh-endless. The tablet looked like a stone tablet that had many stone pages and was at least two metres tall.
Every challenger worth their salt never liked the idea of absolute authority over them and would do whatever they could to destroy that power.
The souls or beings in hell who were not going through physical, emotional, spiritual, energy, frequency, and dimensional torment eternally are known as 'Challengers' and those that were in eternal torment are known as 'The Damned'. In other words, those who were too weak to resist the torment and suffering of hell are, while the ones who can, resist.
The souls in hell earn the right to become challengers when their soul power is too strong for their torment or manage to influence the space around them, causing them to find the path outside of torment and the path to real desire. Even a soul that wasn't all-powerful could also become a challenger if their desire or greed was great enough to connect to the path of challengers which will create a door/portal for those souls to enter the realm of challengers in hell.
Even amongst these challengers, there were still enforcers (Hell Wardens) who controlled the chaos. They had the right to send a challenger to the abyss, an infinite devouring pit that never returned any soul that went in there forever. These enforcers are the hell wardens and even challengers can also become Hell Wardens by proving themselves worthy of the position.
'That damned assignment on the system. It tells me to cultivate my divine power but doesn't even tell me how to. It only gives me random objectives and shows my energy core level.' Fred thought angrily a he saw his soul leaving his body slowly into the void. But as that was happening, King Finn was seen being pulled into the void as well.
"Mage King! Isolate me from your spell!" King Finn begged as his large size returned and made magical circles that tried to oppose the pulling force. That technique didn't go unnoticed as Fred stored the hand signs in his head.
"Why? What do I stand to gain from helping you?" The Mage King said as he continued smiling.
"You bastard! I will give you anything you want, just ask me!" King Finn asked in a panicked tone as the void tore off his lower half and dark spots floating from the void touched parts of his soul which permanently took away those parts leaving King Finn with less energy than before.
"HURRY!" King Finn said in a haste.
"Can you give me those precious waters?" The Mage King asked as his eyes glowed golden.
"… I can. Release me! And I will help! I will even give you part of my share… No, I'll give you sixty percent of my share!" King Finn said as those dark spots started reaching his torso. None of the Dark spots reached Fred since he kept moving his body carefully to avoid them with his hands planted in the ground but King Finn was right at the opening of the void and suffered more.
"No" The Mage King answered and snapped his fingers killing King Finn by commanding a golden pillar to pass through King Finn's head.
