Bab 51: Chapter 51: Adoption

Xin Yan walked into the mansion with Xin Chuxi in her arms, startling the house workers.

"Who is she, miss?" One of the maids inquired curiously.

Xin Yan cocked her head to the other side, contemplating how she would respond to this meddling maid.

She simply replied, "She is someone close to me."

"Please prepare a guest room for her; she is going to stay with us," Xin Yan said, but the maid remained motionless.

"Did you not understand what I said? "I asked you to prepare a room for Chuxi, who will be staying with us," Xin Yan said, frowning. She could sense the maid's defiance.

"I am sorry, but I only follow my master's orders, and he has not asked me to prepare a room for an unknown guest," the maid lowered her head and replied to Xin Yan, who chuckled in frustration.

"Your master, am I not his wife? Do I not get a say?" Xin Yan questioned out of rage.

She just wanted Xin Chuxi to sleep well, but this maid was making it difficult.
