Bab 29: Sudden Appearance!

Confused, Iris looked around, trying to see what was going on.

When her eyes saw the large broken tree in front of them and the red-haired man's lifeless body on the ground, it shocked her.

However, she still couldn't say anything and continued following Xavier. After leaving the small, dark path, they walked on the main road. She felt relieved but also alert, afraid that the men would return to avenge their friend's death and chase her and Xavier with reinforcement. She wouldn't be this alerted if Gavriel was the one who had shown up, not Xavier.

With curiosity, Iris glanced at Xavier, who was walking a few steps ahead of her. She asked him, "X-Xavier, what happened there?" Her voice sounded shaky and barely audible, but Xavier could hear her clearly. He slowed his pace so he could walk alongside her.

"Can you explain to me? I'm so confused now," she continued to ask after not hearing any words from him.
