Tang Zheng quietly stepped into the kitchen, positioning himself at the other end of the counter. As Li Na felt the subtle shift in the atmosphere, a surprise gasp escaped her lips, and she instinctively placed a hand over her pounding heart. His unexpected presence startled her, causing a momentary fright to ripple through her.

"I didn't mean to frighten you," Tang Zheng said "Not at all, I suppose you should have announced your presence with a trumpet." He chuckled softly, and said with his eyebrows slightly raised "someone's got jokes."
