"There's a bigger one? How is that fair?!"

"The world is never fair, Sera…"

"I know, but this is too damn much!"

Lukas narrowed his eyes and produced another spear again, bigger and meaner than the first one. He poised his body, stepping back to take momentum. Power thrummed on the spear, electricity sparking because of how charged up it was. Even a man would grow frightened upon seeing it up close.

Like a high-strung bow, Lukas released his hold on the spear, flinging it towards its gills. The impact of that attack pushed our boat backward and away from our initial position. Lukas held me to his body as soon as we glided, so that I won't fall over and stay steady.
