Bab 7: Master
When Lee Han turned to look at the church, his eyes widened in shock.
"What the fuck did I throw?! That grenade was not supposed to have that big of an explosion..." Lee Han couldn't help but scratch his head and glance at his vest. The small grenade he thought he had taken and thrown was there.
He froze.
"Fucking Hell! I have thrown my ultimate grenade, not the small one! Fuck my life!"
The ultimate grenade should be able to kill many zombies at once if he is in a dangerous situation. But he threw out it just now to kill one zombie. What a waste!
Lee Han stood on his feet while checking his body. He was upset after wasting one great grenade on a tiny boss zombie. But he was grateful and gleeful that he was not injured. There were only a few scratches on his arm.
Then he looked at the church, and his gleeful face suddenly disappeared and became sad.
All that was left of the beautiful and grand church was shattered concrete and flames. The church was now razed to the ground.
Lee Han gasped at this scene as he had not expected this to happen.

'Congrats, master…' Lara's cheerful voice distracted Tristan from his shocked look at the mess he created–destroying the old church.
He felt chills thinking that if he did this in his city, he would become a public enemy, and the police would throw him in jail.
As if she knew Lee Han's worries, Lara tried to make him feel better, 'Master, you don't have to worry. This is an empty city; no one will know you destroyed this iconic place.'
Lee Han smiled faintly, but his smile faded when he realized Lara's words. He was confused hearing how she called him 'Master!?'
"Since when did I become your master, Lara?"
"From now on, Master," Lara answered sweetly. Lee Han was speechless, hearing how cute this girl's voice was.
"Lara, you can call my name Lee — no need to use 'master' before my name. I feel strange hearing that." Lee Han asked.
'I'm sorry, but I will still call you like that, Master." She insisted.
Lee Han took a deep sigh. He gazes at the street ahead.
"Why?" He asks while walking toward his car.
'Well, Master... Earlier, you look so cool. And I didn't expect you to be able to shoot that well under such duress.'
Lee Han could only chuckle at Lara's praise. He decided not to waste time forcing her to drop the call; he just needed to get used to hearing someone call him that.
"I used to train to be a professional shooting athlete, but I wasn't good enough to pass the national selection..."
Lee Han's voice filled with lingering emotions when he remembered when he trained hard but failed miserably; his parents blamed him for not training harder.
If only he had talent then, maybe now he would be a proud athlete in his country, and his parents would adore him. However, because he failed, he gave up training and chose couch potato. That's why he ended up addicted to playing games.
Lee Han took a deep breath, thinking about those awful times. He shook his head to throw away the thought before he entered the car.
However, Lara's voice startled him before Lee Han could start the car engine. Her cute voice no longer sounded in his mind, but he could hear her voice echoing in the car.
"Wow!! Master... that was amazing. I thought you would fail your first mission because you weren't used to using guns, but earlier, you shot like an expert... you shot zombies right in their heads."
'The fuck!! Why her voice—' Lee Han was shocked to hear Lara talk to him like someone sitting behind him, on the passenger row.
He turned to check his car, curious whether Lara appeared, but he found no one sitting in the back row.
"Lara, who are you?"
"Huh!?"
"Are you just a voice in my system or someone trapped inside my mind?" Lee Han asked, confused. "Why can I hear your voice so loud now? Usually, you only talk to me through my inner thoughts..."
"Ah, actually, I could talk out loud, Master. But I haven't had the chance to do that before now." Lara answered casually, but Lee Han still doubted her. He was still suspicious of her.
"Can you appear before my eyes? You know, as someone or something I can see," He asks. Somehow, he feels excited to meet this cute voice.
Silence.
Lara didn't respond to him.
A grin appeared on his lips.
"Silent means YES, Lara!" Lee Han said. "So, you can appear, huh!? Please do it now. I want to see the person or something that could speak back to me…"
Once again, silence enveloped the car.
Lee Han was now sure this girl could appear before him. For some unknown reason, he felt excited.
He opened his mouth to say something, but Lara's voice rang again in the car, "Master, hurry, hurry, check your rewards..."
Lara tries to distract Lee Han, avoiding him asking about her identity further.
Lee Han instantly slaps his forehead. How could he forget about the quest rewards!?
He summons his system immediately, and suddently, a series of notifications appears before his eyes:
[Congratulations, Adventurer Lee Han, on your success in your first mission.]
[Congratulations, Adventurer Lee Han, you have received 10 Gold Coins.]
[Congratulations, Adventurer Lee Han, you have received 100 Silver Coins.]
[Congratulations, Adventurer Lee Han, you have received 1000 Copper Coins.]
[Congratulations, Adventurer Lee Han, you received Mystery Gold Box.]
Lee Han was utterly shocked when he read the last notification.
"I get a 'Mystery Gold Box'?" He said in disbelief. "This must be the rare box—"
When playing as a beta tester, he remembered that this box only appeared after killing a level lord. Earlier, he did not face an enemy of that level but still obtained this reward.
'This is truly a miracle!' Lee Han feels proud of his luck.
"Indeed! This Mystery Gold Box rarely appears. You have great luck, Master Lee Han," Lara praised him sincerely. "Quick, open the Box; let's see what you got inside..." She said excitedly.
Lee Han's eyes widened in surprise when he saw what he got in the box...
