The zamindar came back and did a meeting with his trusty nayeb about Rahul. On the other hand Rahul was unaware of it. He got so submerged in this life's routine; he even forgot about the meeting with local landlord.
It was getting boring and he had nothing to do, so he wen't to meet Jagadish Barui & his highness. As, that old man has invited him at his ladyship's place. Rehmat gave him the route to that location of the place. Rahul followed it and came infront of a big old rusty gate.
The place is twice as big, if compared to the landlords place. The garden was filled with weeds and cobwebs, dry leaves filled up the rest. There was a path infront of the gate, which was cleaner than the rest of the place. A man made path, like the one's in jungle. When people trods in a specific place on the jungle, how dense the grass maybe, a clean path surely gets created.
The fountains were damaged, broken out of service. The hinges on the gates were almost worn out. Even the big lock was rusty to it's core. The outer walls had cracks & holes in them.
In one word, the conditions were 'terrible'. Rahul waited for some time, but when he saw no one. He called out Jagadish Barui's name. After Recalling 2-3 more times, that old man came out.
"Sorry sir, I couldn't came early. I'm sorry to keep you waiting here. Please do come in."
While saying so he opened the gate with a great cacophony, Rahul followed him.
"I was helping my ladyship to her breakfast, so that's why I couldn't come early. Also, these bones are getting old. Only, worry that I have is..."
Rahul was eagerly listening to this old man's thoughts, like he would do before any mission on video games. To complete it with flying aces, but this was not a game to him. It was real, everything in this world was more than real to him.
"What a fool I'm, I should have asked the great warrior to sit & take rest. I haven't even offered you sherbet and continuing this old rambling. With age I'm getting more & more dumb!"
"No. no, it's perfectly okey. We all have somebody to share our joys with. But pain is shared with the one's we trust, we think we can trust enough. It's normal & natural, I didn't even mind a bit."
With a humble smile Jagadish Barui replied, "Sir, you are not a fierce warrior, you are truly a wise and gentle at heart. I'm glad I met you."
"So do I."
Rahul smiled back.
"Sir, this way."
Rahul & the old man entered a room decent enough. There was one old bed & couple of wooden chairs. Half of the door was eaten by termites so the kitchen was clearly visible from outside.
There was another room, adjoining that room Rahul was sitting. While going up from the staircases, Rahul has seen the ruination of this place. The whole place was very pitiful, but the question that wen't through his mind was why was it like this? He could directly ask Jagadish, but he might get hurt. Rahul didn't do anything in a haste, he let time take it's course.
Rahul was waiting for Jagadish's return, he wen't inside the adjoining room. He came out soon, didn't took much time.
"Sir, milady want's to meet you in person. She is bed ridden, that's why can't get up and greet you personally. Hope you don't mind."
"No no. it's perfectly okey. I understand."
It was pretty okey for Rahul, but in these times people are highly sensitive of their positions in the society and according to them if someone disrespects them or break the norms, all hell can break loose. Even a fucking war can be simply started based on these bullshit things!
Our man Rahul was from the 21st century, hence he was a-ok with all these stuffs...
Inside the room layed a beautiful women in a very exquisite bed, she was just so.gorgeous; Rahul's gaze fixed on her.
Old dude Jagadish was bit awkward with this situation, so he faked a cough to ease the moment.
Rahul recovered his composure with that small hint. Dilruba Jahan gave a faint smile, to this situation. She was even amazed that anyone of Rahul's stature would entice someone like her.
Jagadish Barui introduced Rahul & Dilruba Jahan to each other. With a faint tone she spoke,
"Thank you kind sir, for taking care of such a lowly women of my kind. I'm indebt to you..."
Rahul's face blushed to these sweet talks & praise, he is not so experienced with these kinds of situations. All his life he was on the loosing end, to feel this kind of warmth from such a lovely lady is dreamlike situation for him!
"No. no Miss. Dilruba you don't have to worry about that, Mr. Jagadish has taken care of that. He has paid me in full."
"He has invited me to come here & I had time on my hand that's why I came. It's nothing much don't worry about in anymore."
Dilruba continued,
"No Sir Rahul, my life is truly indebted to you. Of such a high class warrior helping me in such a grievous situation plus you even came to my house. I'm truly honoured, now..." her voice cracked up with a torrent of coughs.
She was feeling low, due to so much talking. Her sickness has made her weak beyond imagination, hence the old servant asked Rahul to wait outside.
Out of all the rooms, Rahul saw; while passing through the stairs and corridors, Dilruba's room was the best. After all she was the owner, how poor she may get, she would be treated the best.
The bed, the rug, the chandeliers everything was great in Dilruba's room. And the most exquisite of them all was Dilruba herself, she was ill to the bones yet her body, her face those eyes.
Damn Rahul was mesmerised, she had all the curves in the right places, snow white skin texture and lips like cherry blossom. Anyone would think of her as an elf, if she had those pointed ears.
Unluckily she was not, Rahul had checked it out while going out of the room. Rahul was intoxicated by Dilruba Jahan, he was visualizing every moment he spent inside that room. He was going through those curves up and down but to every sweet dream there is a disrupting morning, so does this dream have.
Jagadish came out...
