Bab 24: Not Love, Lust

The same madness has descended again, Nihaal had thought as he continued to kiss Suhasini. But there was no liquor, none of them were intoxicated, there was no music, no party mood. But then why? Why was the arousal making him insane? He had thought as he suppressed a groan and pulled Suhasini even closer, sucking on her lower lip. She felt like a fluff of cloud and cotton under his touch and he felt losing control.

But Nihaal drew in a breath and stepped away, releasing Suhasini reluctantly. Before he looked at Suhasini, he waited a moment to gain control or at least hope to gain control, gather his sanity. They both looked at each other at the same time, stared for a few seconds to pass, Suhasini’s face was flushed, cheeks red like ripe apples – like all her blood gushing to her cheeks, her lips quivering. ‘We should stop’, managed Nihaal with some difficulty as it was him he was trying to convince and not Suhsasini.
