Bab 103: Arc 2

The door creaked open, and Ye Jin looked up, dropping the scroll she was holding. Zhou Tang had walked in with Li Fei.

"Hey, Ye Jin," Zhou Tang's voice chimed happily.

Ye Jin smiled, resisting the urge to tap Zhou Tang's hair. Zhou Tang was like a little sister to her, just like Mei Yun had been. Ye Jin became mechanical for a moment; she never got a chance to meet Mei Yun or speak to her before her death.

Noticing Ye Jin's darkened expression, Zhou Tang asked worriedly, "Is there anything wrong, Ye Jin?"

Ye Jin quickly composed herself; now was not the time to be reminiscing about old memories. "I'll be leaving for the palace. It's time you take the full reins of Wang Tong Ge," she said to Zhou Tang.

Zhou Tang's brows creased into a frown. "Is there anything wrong, Ye Jin?"
