Before Ye Jin was a grand mansion, with intricate carvings on its wooden beams. Expensive and extravagant lanterns hung at each corner, casting a warm glow on the lush garden of flowers. It was Lan Xi Pavilion, Xi Ming's palace.

Ye Jin raised an eyebrow and turned to him, asking, "Why did you bring me here?"

Xi Ming smiled sheepishly. "Well, since you didn't come to visit me before, I thought that you owed me one, so I brought you here." He then added, "Sorry for not informing you earlier, though."

Ye Jin sighed, folding her arms. "I am quite busy, Xi Ming. I need to focus on finding who is behind the Qian Yu underground auction house," especially since I really don't want to be in your presence.

Xi Ming grabbed her arms, his eyes pleading. "Jin-er, do you hate me? You promised that we would be friends forever, but why do I feel you hate me so much? Have I offended you, Jin-er?"

Ye Jin hesitated a bit. "Xi Ming..."
