He probably read my mind.

Damn. I really want to run away.

I brainwashed myself.

I don't want him seeing my other thoughts. I also don't want him to predict my movements. Maybe he'll know I want to run away as soon as I give even the slightest hint to.

Yeah. Let's just lie down and stay limp like this.

And instead... I'll be insensitive and ask Zed the question I'm most curious and interested to know the answer to.

"Do you like me?" I look at him directly and asked as his eyes were very close to mine.

Zed didn't smile his usual carefree smile. He also didn't nonchalantly shrug off what I just said like he always does.
