After being drafted into her country’s army, Desiree and her friend find themselves nearly face to face with an unknown threat. The pair flee, but unbeknownst to Desiree, they have aided in the capture of rebels. As a reward, Desiree is selected to join the True King’s private army.

However, the longer Desiree serves in the True King’s private army, the more she realizes that everything she’s ever known is all a lie.
